Y chromosome
one of the two sex chromosomes of humans. Females have two X chromosomes, while males have one X and one Y chromosome.
Yeast
a microscopic fungus that converts its food (carbohydrates) into carbon dioxide and alcohol through a metabolic process known as fermentation, Yeast is necessary for making beer, wine, cheese and some breads. A few yeasts, such as Candida albicans can cause infection in humans.
Yeast infection
an infection caused by the overgrowth of yeast which can affect the skin (yeast rash), mouth (thrush), digestive tract, esophagus, vagina (vaginitis), and other parts of the body. Yeast infections occur most frequently in moist areas of the body caused mainly by Candida albicans fungus.
A vaginal infection caused by the fungus Candida albicans may produce itching, burning when urinating, irritation of the vagina, pain when urinating or with intercourse, and sometimes an abnormal vaginal discharge. Yeast infections occur more frequently in women with diabetes. It does not pose any danger to a pregnant woman or her fetus. Also known as candidiasis or moniliasis.

an acute viral illness spread by mosquito bites. Characterized by fever and jaundice.
